The students have completed their certificate three in individual support focusing on ageing and home and community care. 

TasTafe education manager Fiona Ison said the students had professional experience during the course at Deloraine Aged Care and Deloriane Hospital. 

“We work very closely with the aged care industry to ensure our training is meeting their needs and student assessments are done in collaboration with the industry,” she said.

In the sixth year, Ms Ison said it was in demand.
