Trout season is upon keen fishermen and Lake Leake is ready.
The Lake Leake Trout Opening Day is back again and more than 100 people are expected to fish for the prize.
Being held on August 5, organiser Phil Gorringe said the event was a great day.
“We’ve already got lots of interest from fishing clubs,” he said.
Registrations open on the Friday night at the pub and close on Saturday at 10am. Entry costs $15 and includes a free breakfast.
"There are great prizes and on Saturday afternoon we have the weigh-in, then the prize presentations and an evening meal and entertainment,” Mr Gorringe said.
Inland Fisheries has released 2000, one-kilogram brown trout.
