Huon clubmates Georgia Nesbitt and Sarah Hawe have both landed tickets to Sarasota-Bradenton in the US which will host the titles from September 24 to October 1.
Rowing Australia has named four women’s crews, five men’s and one men's para-rowing crew to compete.
Hawe is a member of the women’s four that won world cups in both Poznan and Lucerne. The 30-year-old veterinarian will again team up with Victorians Katrina Werry and Lucy Stephan plus Molly Goodman, of South Australia.
Penrith-based Nesbitt, 25, is in the lightweight women’s quadruple scull crew also featuring Amy James (Queensland), Georgia Miansarow (NSW) and Alice Arch (Victoria).
Rowing Australia performance director Bernard Savage said the country was well placed heading into the competition.
“Today’s announcement sees a small revision in the team after the recent world rowing cups,” he said.
“We are confident that the crews selected will build on the positive performance we saw in Europe and be highly competitive at the world championships in Sarasota.”
The other two women’s crews of quad and double scull have also remained unchanged from the last world cup.
Some minor adjustments have been made to the men’s eight but all other men’s crews have remained as originally named for the world cup tour.
Launceston’s John Keogh will be the head coach of the women’s squad.
