Construction manager Craig Wood took The Examiner on a tour of the site as the structure continues to take shape.
The lowest floor includes car parking, and space for future tenancies such as a hairdresser, beauty therapist and meeting rooms inside the rounded walls.
The next level up will include a lounge area, the hotel reception, meeting rooms and a restaurant with sweeping Tamar River views.
The individual silos will be cut in half to create two rooms on each level, except for the penthouse suites.
Mr Wood said the project was something that gave him pride.
“It’s an exciting project, you don't do many multistorey projects in Launceston like this,” he said. “Access is tough, you’ve got to get everything up higher and it takes more to get everything up because it’s out of reach of your normal machinery.”
Construction began in May 2016 but was progress was slowed due to excessive rainfall. The structure is due to be complete by Christmas.
