Maximum daytime temperatures in Launceston are predicted to hover around the 13 and 14 degree mark this week as the state approaches its final month of winter.
Launceston should be mostly free of rain until the weekend, apart from possible falls of between 4 and 10 millimetres on Tuesday and Friday.
Save for a low of minus 2 degrees on Thursday, overnight temperatures should remain above zero.
There’s some good news for skiers, with Ben Lomond predicted to receive some form of snowfall on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, while the Cradle Valley forecast district should also see snow most days this week.
The possibility of icy roads on Monday morning has led the Bureau of Meteorology to issue a road weather warning for the Central North, Central Plateau, Midlands, East Coast, Upper Derwent Valley and South East.
A gale warning has also been issued for the South West Coast and the South East Coast.
