A golf croquet handicap tournament was held at the Northern Tasmania Croquet Centre.
Qualifying games were played on Saturday followed by semi-finals then finals on Sunday.
Two teams from St Leonards played off in the final with Rod Tait and Shaun Forrester victorious.
Participants came from Latrobe, East and St Leonards clubs and Northern promotion officer Lee Turner reported a highly competitive contest featuring several close games.
“All the finals were exciting and went to 13-point games so it was very tight,” she said.
Meanwhile, St Helens Croquet Club will host its annual weekend on July 29 and 30.
Members from all state clubs are expected to be participating.
“It will be interesting competition as the Northern champion Tim Meredith plays with the St Helens Club,” Turner said.
