The flu outbreak was first reported a week earlier, with three cases initially confirmed.
The hospital was forced to stop admissions to the ward as a result of the outbreak.
The number of confirmed patients with the virus increased to six by Saturday that week, and there were also patients infected with the gastro bug, norovirus, on 6D.
As a result of increased demand that weekend, vaccinated patients were admitted to 6D, despite the Health Department halting admissions on the ward.
The THS has not provided an update on the norovirus cases.
