Patches of fog were impacting visibility on the East Tamar Highway and West Tamar Highway.
Police also issued a frost warning for Mount Barrow Road about 8.20am on Wednesday.
Motorists were advised to travel with caution.
A maximum of 13 degrees was predicted for Launceston on Wednesday.
The Bureau of Meteorology said it would be a partly cloudy day, with a slight chance of rain.
Light winds will become southerly about midday, reaching 20 kmh, before easing into the afternoon.
The bureau issued a strong wind warning for Derwent Estuary, Frederick Henry Bay and Norfolk Bay, Storm Bay, Channel, Far North West Coast, Central North Coast, Banks Strait and Franklin Sound, East of Flinders Island, Upper East Coast, Lower East Coast, South East Coast, South West Coast and Central West Coast on Wednesday.
