Launched on Friday, the Your Choice campaign comes in the wake of five serious sexual assault allegations at Marion Bay’s Falls Festival late last year and a spate of similar incidents across the country.
The campaign, which aims to instil a culture of shared responsibility for punters’ welfare at music festivals and events, has already attracted signatures from hundreds of notable Australian musicians, festivals and organisations.

Falls Festival director Paul Piticco said the campaign was a step in the right direction.
“At its core, Your Choice is a discussion about safety at gigs, concerts and festivals and how we can collectively have an inclusive, supportive good time at these shows,” Piticco said.
“Your Choice will start the conversation and we hope, positively shift the behavioural culture that seems so prevalent these days.”
