The Save the Tasmanian Devil Recovery Program spent two weeks selecting, transporting and releasing the programs. Thirty-three wild devils have been released from Maria Island. Some are fitted with GPS collars to provide data on their movements.
Devils can travel 20 kilometres from their release site. Anyone who see evidence of a devil is asked to contact the Devil Hotline on 0427 733 511.
