Few artists appear on the Launceston gig calendar throughout July as often as South Australian Zac Eichner.

Having moved back to his home state earlier this year after three years in Tasmania, Eichner returns this weekend for a whirlwind of shows, starting with MellowFest on Saturday before gigs at Baker’s Lane and the Kingsway Bar on July 12 and 14.
The former UTAS student said he was looking forward to catching up with old mates and playing new music.
“After I moved back to SA I jumped straight into my debut EP H O M E,” he said.
“It’s a story that flows both forwards and backwards on certain people I met during my time (in Launceston) and the impact they had both directly and indirectly.”
Eichner also has more new music on the way.
“I’ve got some very sneaky collaborations in the process that I have to keep on the down-low, but I can say there’s a new single on the go that I am really happy with.
“It’s just a skeleton but I feel like it’s going to be a great product.”
