Not only is she booked in to play at the Devonport Jazz Festival on the 28th, but she will also be walking from Hobart to Launceston.
Ms Baron will undertake the 200km journey on July 19 to raise funds for more music facilities in aged care homes. With her mother recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, Ms Brown said it was a cause close to her heart.
“I performed at an aged care facility in Hobart during January, and seeing the effect that live music had both staff and residents was incredible,” she said.
“It’s about getting them to feel more alive and helping them to connect with each other. The music doesn’t necessarily need to be played live, it could come from ipods or old CD players.”
