It was the under-19s who got the ball rolling for the club with a thrilling 42-41 win, before their opens counterparts followed with a 43-20 victory.
Sound defensive pressure allowed the Hawks to get the jump on Burnie in first quarter, as Danni Pickett and Ashlea Mawer made the home team pay on the scoreboard, helping their side to a 26-12 lead at the first break.
Burnie came out firing in second, making the most of some skills errors from their opponents to whittle down the deficit. The Hawks regained their composure towards the end of the quarter to take a 46-29 advantage into the break.
They continued their momentum in the third, with strong speed and drive in transition providing them with more scoring opportunities and putting them firmly in control at the final break, leading 69-39.
A couple of line up changes in the last did nothing to stem the flow of points, with the Hawks romping to an 88-50 win. Player of the match was Ashlea Mawer.
The Cavs had a much tougher time of it in their round 12 fixture against Arrows.
After the jumping out to an eight-goal lead at the first break, the defending premiers were able to consolidate their advantage throughout the next three quarters to cruise to a comfortable 57-38 win.
