Testing out their passports, some for the very first time, 17 Newstead College students are packing up for a trip to Europe, where they will take in the sights, study the arts, and enjoy the change of pace from college.

The two-week trip will see the students and three teachers visit London, Venice, Rome and Santorini, exploring the rich culture and landscapes.
And while some students are keen to spend their days wandering through Roman ruins, other priorities include a visit to Hogwarts, at the Warner Bros Harry Potter studio tour.
Student Georgie Barr said she was most looking forward to visiting Hogwarts and Santorini, and her family had already put in their requests for souvenirs and gifts.
“It’s my first time going overseas,” she said.
“And I’m the first one in the family apart from my Nan.”
Fellow student Henry Watson, one of just four boys taking the tour, said he was most looking forward to the chance explore the artistic heritage of Rome.

“I’m looking forward to being somewhere quite different, I personally really enjoy culture … so experiencing Ancient Rome, but also arts, I’m quite interested,” he said.
Teacher Jo Faulkner said for many students it was their first trip overseas, and an exciting chance to expand their horizons.
