The Redlegs entered the match at Bracknell Oval with a perfect record and eight-points clear on top of the table, however, Jacob Lowe’s Sharks produced an outstanding performance to win 12.9 (81) to 10.16 (76).
The visitors were four goals up at half time and managed to hold off a third-term challenge from Bracknell.
Damon Howe was Hillwood’s most consistent performer as Jake King (four goals) and Andrew Whitmore (three) controlled the forward 50. The Sharks now sit in outright third spot.
DELORIANE romped to a 85-point victory over George Town to register only its second positive result this season, thanks largely to a nine-goal show from full forward Shannon Mulvey.
Brett Smith’s Kangaroos won 117.17 (119) to 4.10 (34) after a powerful six-goal to zero opening term to lead by 61 points at half time.
Mathew O'Donoghue, Ashdyn Heathcote and Jacob Wauchope all chipped in with two goals apiece as Matthew Mitchell and Aaron Walker were involved in the play all day.

Reigning premiers ROCHERLEA brushed Longford aside 15.12 (102) to 5.11 (41) in a battle of the competition’s Tigers.
Rocherlea were 14-points clear with one stanza to play but produced a lethal final 30 minutes in which they converted 9.1 to 1.2 to seal the deal.
Leading league forward Field Reeves booted seven to take his season tally to 34 majors, while Cody Weedon finished with five to his name.
Longford veteran Sam Graham (two) was the losers’ only multiple goalkicker as Lucas Pearton and Jackson Blair toiled hard for the Country Tigers to no avail.
DIVISION 2
OLD SCOTCH again flexed its muscles and reaffirmed its premiership favouritism with a 38-point triumph over closest rivals Evandale at Morven Park on Saturday.
George Walker bagged a handful of goals in the 15.10 (100) to 9.8 (62) victory after just one point separated the two sides at quarter time.
Thistles goalsneak Michael Murfett also ended up with four majors, while defender Ryan Worn, captain Tom Pedley and Jonty Swallow led the way for the four-time reigning premiers.
Tom Chugg (three goals), Jordan Bennett and Warwick Johnson were competitive for the Country Eagles, who now boast a 8-2 win-loss ratio.
PERTH were outplayed by a potent East Coast 22.19 (151) to 16.6 (102).
On a day for big hauls in front of goal, Swans forward Nic Child (eight) slotted through his 54th major of the season and had good help from Jake Sushames (seven).
East Coast started rapidly with 9.5 to 3.2 in the first stanza to set up the win with Michael Musicka named best on ground for the second week running.
Brennan Savage booted four for the Magpies.
OLD LAUNCESTONIANS were pushed by a fast-finishing Prospect at Prospect Park.
The Blues held a six-goal advantage with a term to go, only for the Hawks to pile on 6.3 to 4.2 and fail 14.13 (97) to 11.9 (75).
Conniey Riley (five) was the dangerman for Wayne Kirby’s men, who were well serviced by Maurice Stone and Gene Savage with three goals each.
Lyndon Green and Chae Evans were consistent performers in guiding the Blues to their fifth victory.
A seven-goal third quarter handed BRIDPORT a 31-point win over bottom-placed Meander Valley at Westbury Oval.
The Suns were up by three points at half time but could not fight the storm and lost 14.11 (95) to 8.16 (64).
Seagulls Ben Laskey and Cody Kerrison split eight goals evenly between them, while Ross Tulich and Ryan Bosker were Meander Valley’s most productive.
TAMAR CATS struggled to find any momentum against Lilydale at Beauty Point, failing 17.17 (119) to 10.7 (67).
Billy Tuckerman and Josh Griggs waxed well together for six goals each as the Demons led from start to finish.
Wil Lockhart and Jesse Tuckerman impressed for last year’s runners up, while Cats Jacob Parker, Nathan Croft and Liam Shegog tried to resist their strength.
Both Jason Savage and Josh Murray kicked four goals apiece for Tamar in what was its fifth-straight loss.
ST PATS blew Uni-Mowbray away to the tune of 167 points.
The Saints had 31 more scoring shots and 12 different goalkickers in the brutal 30.18 (198) to 4.7 (31) result.
Jacob Knight and Jacob Murphy (seven goals each) were the chief destroyers as Brad Pearton and Jacob Perkins were among many standouts for St Pats.
The Saints are in a three-way fight for third spot with East Coast and Lilydale.
