Loch it in
Inspirational swimmer Anne Steele is training hard for her latest challenge _ swimming a refreshing 10km in Loch Earn in Scotland in September.
The swim will mark the 10th anniversary of Steele’s successful English Channel swim.
Steele, 48, of Hobart, a teacher and former Swimming Tasmania staffer, is raising funds for Melanoma Tasmania.
“The goal I have set myself is not only to mark my channel anniversary and to take me back to my dear dad’s homeland who played such a significant role in my swimming career but [also] to raise awareness and funds for Melanoma Tasmania,” Steele said.
It is a cause close to Steele’s heart after successful treatment for a malignant melanoma five years ago.
