Deloraine and Branxholm dairy farmers will find out the best ways to rear healthy calves at the Tasmanian Institute of Agriculture Dairy Calf Roadshow this week.

Guest speaker Joanne Leigh, from Top-Notch Calves, will speak about how she runs a large commercial calf-rearing business and a small dairy farm in Waikato, New Zealand, organiser Lesley Irvine said.

“Joanne will discuss how to consistently rear healthy, well-grown calves as well as provide some insights in how to manage calf rearing for large herds,” Ms Irvine said.

The Deloraine roadshow is on Thursday, June 22, between 10.30am and 3pm at Bush Inn, 7-9 Meander Valley Road.

Imperial Hotel at Branxholm is hosting the North-East event on Friday, June 23, between 10.30am and 3pm.
