Edwin Bramich held the position for 17 years, but also was an active member of more than eight community groups, including life member of the Longford Bowls Club and later treasurer of the Kings Meadows bowls club until he was 90.
His daughter, Ros Ripper, said he was willing to put his hand up for anything.
“He wasn’t just an educator, he was an active community member. But most of all, he was a wonderful dad,” she said. “Whatever had to be done, he would do it.”
He was well-respected in many communities as a result of his passionate teaching career.
Mr Bramich passed away on June 8.
