John “Graham” Cameron was awarded the medal on the Queen’s Birthday long weekend for his dedication to the community.
“It was for various things that I have done over the years,” Mr Cameron said.
In 2016, Mr Cameron was awarded Break O’Day Council’s Citizen of the Year for his contribution to the community as well as his work with Legacy and the local RSL Branch. He spent many hours curating the the St Helens Honor Roll while he was employed at the Break O’Day Council. Mr Cameron researched, located and mapped the graves location with the town’s cemeteries because records weren’t kept.
