Lenah Game Meats has tackled wallaby fur rugs, stubby holders, and even underwear.
Now the Launceston company has headed south, launched WUGGs – wallaby ugg boots.
The company’s John Kelly said the footwear was just another extension of their philosophy of using the whole animal.
The boots feature a fuzzy wallaby lining, with a treated wallaby skin outer.
After doing market research in China, Mr Kelly believes the WUGGs will be another “iconic Tasmanian product on the market”.
He said he would not be surprised to see Bobbie the Bridestowe Bear wearing a pair of WUGGs soon.
The product will be available through Lenah Game Meats online, and in selected stores around the state.
