The Australian Youth Climate Coalition Launceston will screen the 30 minute documentary film Guarding the Galilee, on the contentious Adani coal mine in Queensland.
The film screening is a way for the members of the coalition to make a difference in their community.
“As a young person I am deeply concerned about my future and future generations that will come after me,” Australian Youth Climate Coalition Launceston convener Cat Kerr said.
“This coal mine is relevant to everyone, and the impacts will be felt across Australia, not only in Queensland.”
Ms Kerr hopes the film will inspire action in those who attend the event.
The film will start at 6pm on Monday, June 19 at the University of Tasmania Architecture School in Inveresk.
Entry is by donation and RSVPs can be made by visiting www.aycc.org.au/events and following the links.
