Entitled ‘Make Tasmania Great Again’, the show is a no holds barred look at trending topics both here and the mainland.
Director Nick Paine said no one is spared from the satire.
“We pretty much just take the piss out of everything, including ourselves,” he said.

“The fact it is parody means we can away with a bit more.”
What initially began as an initiative of the University of Tasmania has developed into a separate entity, with the cast for the annual Uni Revue not restricted to students.
The latest show is coming off a successful two-week run in Hobart where it delighted audiences at the Theatre Royal. It’s a shorter stay in the north, with performances from Wednesday through until Saturday.
Mr Paine said it was always special to play in front of Launceston audiences.
“One of the main reasons why people get involved in the show is the opportunity to play in Launceston,” he said.
“It’s a chance to get away from our normal lives, and let loose for a bit.”
Tickets for the 2017 Uni Revue can be purchased at Theatre North where the show is scheduled to play.
