The fire began about 3.57am on Sunday at a home in Dineen Street.
Neighbours alerted emergency services, which arrived to find the house fully alight.
Members from the Tasmania Fire Service quickly extinguished the fire and investigations are ongoing as to the cause.
It caused about $100,000 of significant damage to the home.
According to Tasmania Police, nobody was home at the time of the fire and no people were injured as a result.
Investigations in relation to the cause of the blaze are continuing.
