Hosted by the University of Tasmania’s Pop Culture Society the market was an opportunity for artists to sell their wares, others to sell their specialised collectibles and to show off some costumes.
Society treasurer Vanessa Ollington said it was the third time the market had been hosted in Northern Tasmania.
“We started out doing them once a year and now we are trying to do them quarterly,” she said.
“We are also doing them in Hobart and we will be having our third I believe next month on June 24.”
She said some of the creations by local artists were “amazing” and it was a great chance for like-minded people to be able to trade things.
“We usually have anywhere from between 150 to 300 people come in the door and just this morning we have already had 150,” Ms Ollington said.
The society also host major festival events during the year.
