Hall sale proceeds to be reinvested into region
At West Tamar Council’s May meeting, a unanimous decision was made to “quarantine” the proceeds from the sale of the Rowella Hall.

The motion, moved by councillor Richard Ireland, stated the proceeds were only to be used for infrastructure projects that have a specific community benefit.
“The sale of the hall and grounds is obviously a loss of a community asset, however it is justified, as it is a totally underutilised and costly asset,” Cr Ireland said.
