The state budget, announced on Thursday, allocated $2 million for the project.
The new pool will allow year round access.
The community has been lobbying for a new pool for more than 10 years.
Infrastructure minister Rene Hidding said facility will help the Southern Midlands district.
“[It] will also attract visitors from other regions who will then spend money in shops and eateries in the Oatlands district,” Mr Hidding said.
