More than 110 producers, advisors and industry representatives met at Riverlands Centre for the event.
The Water for Profit Program, which is funded by the state government, delivers activities to help farmers get the most out of their irrigation systems, Tasmanian Institute of Agriculture Irrigation Program leader Sue Hinton said.
“The format of the day went really well with three speakers and four concurrent sessions that were repeated,” Ms Hinton said.
“They were all well attended and we had very positive feedback about the format, the topics covered and everyone said they got something useful out of the day.
“There were about 50 per cent there who were farmers and to get those numbers at an event is quite an achievement,” she said.
Producers were consulted when the program was set, ensuring it addressed knowledge gaps.
