Three of Tasmania’s top soil and crop experts - Bill Cotching, Doris Blaesing and Frank Mulcahy – will speak at the Scottsdale and Deloraine events.
Soil health, irrigation, crop nutrition and disease will be discussed and the fundamentals of soil health demonstrated, NRM North Land and Water manager Adrian James said.
“For farmers having to grow crops year in year out is very taxing on their soils and can result in some cases of increased inputs with diminishing returns,” Mr James said.
The first event is at Deloraine Rotary Pavilion on Thursday and the second at Scottsdale Gold Club on Friday, both at 10am.
