The beams for the new bridge, near the roundabout, were erected this week.
Works will soon begin on the Bridge’s deck.
A department of state growth spokeswoman said the works were progressing on schedule.
“Works at the Perth to Breadalbane site will continue through the winter months, and motorists are reminded to slow down and comply with all speed limits and traffic management when travelling through the site,” she said.
Travellers are now using the new section of the highway between the north-end of Perth and Devon Hills.
“Traffic will be progressively moved onto sections of the new highway as they are completed,” the spokeswoman said. “A reduction in speed limit allows for access on and off the new highway and for all other changes in road surface.”
The project is expected to be completed by early 2018.
Stage two of the Perth bypass is expected to start two years sooner than expected.
