Starting at 11am, the challenge will feature a 9-kilometre kayak, 18km of mountain biking and an 8.5km run.
Organiser Mark Padgett said the event will also include a children’s race to ensure it is a day for the whole family.
“It's designed for novice multisport athletes because the distances are a little shorter than other events around the state. But then we also have a field of elite athletes as well,” he said.
Co-organiser Glenn Campbell hopes the event will “bring something into winter to get people out and about.” To register, visit www.theicebreaker.com.au/
