Officially opening on May 1 1967, the school has been celebrating its golden anniversary through a range of activities.
On May 1 they held a whole school assembly where two student leaders and the longest serving staff member cut a cake. Then the oldest and youngest student hit a pinata full of glitter and birthday confetti.
“This was great fun. We finished the assembly by singing our school song that was written by Mrs Lydon in 1987,” advanced skills teacher Janine Spicer said.
The school had fun displaying mystery photos of former students who are now staff. In October the school will open a time capsule which was buried in 1988.
