The supercar driver began the journey with two close friends last Friday morning from Port Welshpool in Victoria. The trio then arrived in Musselroe Bay on Saturday night, after bad weather conditions interfered with their hopes of reaching Bridport.
Luckily, the rest of the trip was smooth sailing.
“Even though the conditions were probably about 10 times more challenging than what we had expected, the trip still went without any major issues,” Kelly said.
The challenge also succeeded in raising more than $10,000 for MS Australia.
“The whole thing really felt like we had a purpose,” he said. “I was actually riding along thinking about that the whole time.”
After 12 months of event preparation, Kelly will be sticking to racing cars for the foreseeable future.
And as for the jet skiis? He says they will be left to “collect a little dust,” before being put to use again.
