Both Burnie's Hislop and South Launceston's McCulloch have been training with their former clubs in the hope of getting a spot on the clubs' rookie lists.
But it is unknown where a potential home for Taylor, of Campbell Town, may be.
McCulloch was delisted by the Lions in October.
The 20-year-old, who was selected with pick 69 in the 2008 national draft, failed to play a game for Brisbane, with quad and hamstring injuries hampering his output.
There will be only six selections in the pre- season draft, with Gold Coast, West Coast, Richmond, Essendon, Hawthorn and Fremantle to participate.
However, it is unlikely there will be many "live picks" with West Coast likely to select Peel Thunder defender Blayne Wilson, while Richmond has committed to former Essendon midfielder Bachar Houli and Fremantle to former Collingwood forward John Anthony.
The pre-season and rookie drafts will be held on Tuesday, December 7.
