More retailers, politicians and businesses have joined The Examiner and City Mission’s Mission Possible campaign.
The campaign will collect 5000 non-perishable food items to help City Mission maintain its supply through winter – a busy period for the organisation which has seen demand grow 25 per cent in the past financial year.
New food drop-off locations include the office of Member for Bass, Ross Hart, Lady Gowrie Alanvale Daycare Centre, Bass Liberal Members’ office and the IGA supermarket at Perth.
IGA Perth store owner Amanda Lohrey jumped at the opportunity to help City Mission prepare for the winter.
“I believe they do a great job with a lot of services and I’m quite happy to support them,” she said.

Ms Lohrey decided partner her IGA with Mission Possible to give back to the community.
The Mission Possible food boxes are expected to be in the store before Wednesday.
The new drop-off locations are in addition to existing points at City Mission’s stores, selected newsagents and The Examiner’s office.
