The Redlegs’ 39-point away victory gives them the mantle of the competition’s only undefeated team with forward Glenn Dawson’s seven goals going a long way to getting the job done.
It was a game of two halves with Rocherlea outscoring Bracknell by eight points in the first half, only for Redlegs to turn the tables with interest in the second period – 72 points to 24.
Joey Cullen and Joe Chilcott converted two goals each for the winners with Jake Cox and Charlie Archer the standouts. Zach Illes and Jordan Cousens in his 100th senior match were Rocherlea’s most effective.
GEORGE TOWN kept Bridgenorth to just three goals to post its second win of the season.
A defiant display from the Saints at Blue Gum Park witnessed the young outfit lead the Parrots from start to finish – winning 9.13 (67) to 3.11 (29).
Bridgenorth’s deficet was just 14 points at the long break but Patrick Mackrell’s men struggled to convert in the second half, scoring 1.6 to George Town’s 5.7.
Ethan Goldfinch (three goals), Josh Knight and Shane Baker (two each) were potent in front of the sticks with skipper Adam Zanevra and Sam Cooke instrumental in glory. Jack Seabourne was named Bridgenorth’s best.
SCOTTSDALE made the trip to Tigerland and left with four points and its second-straight victory.
The Magpies were four goals too good for Longford, who have slumped to a less than desirable 1-4 start following the 11. 9 (75) to 7.8 (50) result.
The Country Tigers failed to score in the opening term into a strong wind but fought back in the second stanza to trail by seven points at the halfway mark.
A six-goal third quarter for Scottsdale set up the win as a 38-point three-quarter-time deficit prooved too much for Tom Reinmuth’s charges.
Pie Bryton Mullins worked tirelessly with Julian Rattray and Lee Nichols booting two apiece, while Cam Gard and Ben Chugg fought on for Longford.
SOUTH LAUNCESTON tore Deloraine to shreds on the Kangaroos’ home turf to the tune of 132 points.
The Bulldogs had 32 more scoring shots than the Roos, who remain winless five rounds in. The hosts could only manage one goal to half time and were eventually overwhelmed 24.16 (160) to 4.4 (28).
Todd Spilsbury, Brad Etchell (four) and Clinton Drake combined for 11 goals between them for the Dogs, while Will Campbell and Joel Mountney received praise for their performances.

EVANDALE and Old Scotch continued their perfect starts to the season with significant wins over touted contenders on Saturday.
The Country Eagles finished 41-point victors over St Pats at Morven Park with Clinton Black the marquee big man, booting four goals.
Jake Goodyer, Damian Wrankmoore, Jordan Bennett and Michael Rainbow all chipped in with two in the 13.8 (86) to 6.9 (45) result, while Andrew Frame and Brad Scott-Power dominated general play.
The Saints only registered 11 points to half time with Kyle Lanham (two) their only multiple goal scorer.
St Pats are now behind the front runners with a 2-3 win-loss ratio.
OLD SCOTCH breezed past an undermanned East Coast 13.13 (91) to 5.9 (39) at St Helens.
The victory never looked in doubt with the Thistles extending their advantage at every change.
Nicholas Dazeley and Alex McKenzie were named the ladder-leader’s best with George Walker and Josh Matthews finishing with two majors apiece. Sam Suter tried hard for the Swans as did Nick Lohrey-Lockwood and Lewis Ritchie.
TAMAR CATS got back on track this week with a 10-point win over Uni-Mowbray at University Oval.
The Suburban Eagles had their noses in front for most of the day and took a 15-point lead into three-quarter time, however, a five goal to one final stanza was enough to see the Cats home 9.12 (66) to 7.14 (56).
Tamar veteran Jason Savage booted four majors, while Adam Humzy and Daniel Holton managed two each for Uni. Mitchell Sanders and Jack Kesper were named Uni-Mowbray’s most productive with Jacob Parker adjudged best on ground for the Cats.
BRIDPORT picked up its first points since joining the NTFA with a 13.14 (92) to 12.6 (78) triumph over Prospect at home.
The Hawks started strongly to build a four-goal quarter-time buffer, which grew to 38 points with a term to play.
But the margin was not big enough with Prospect adding just one point in the final 30 minutes, allowing the Seagulls to swoop past them with eight goals and five behinds.
Mathew Martello (three goals), Cody Kerrison and Jake Smythe (two each) did most of the damage up front.
Jamie Rayner and Keiran Carlton (four goals) were key players for Prospect.
LILYDALE kept Meander Valley scoreless to three-quarter time to runaway 132-point winners at home.
