The Tamar Valley Voices under, the baton of Jill Brash Kearney, will host a Memories of the Tamar concert.
The narrator will talk of the growing settlement of Beaconsfield in the late 19th century and the importance of gold, apple growing and other food production in the area. The effect the two world wars had on the Beaconsfield community will also be mentioned.
The choir will sing songs related to the narrative and with images shown throughout the performance.
There will be a donation at the door with proceeds going to City Mission. Memories of the Tamar will be held at Beaconsfield Uniting Church at 2pm. Afternoon tea will be served.
