Backing up a season-first road victory on Friday night in Sydney, the Torns returned to the court 24 hours later to hold off Frankston Blues in a satisfying 70-67 win.
The club has been left reeling since Friday morning over the mutual split with four-game coach Ben Rush.
But the Torns displayed spirited resolve in adversity to pull from a 61-61 scoreline.
Lauren Nicholson scored the opening three-pointer in overtime before the Blues scored the next six.
That was where it ended when Tayla Roberts and Lauren Mansfield made key shots to hit the front amid the hosts missing their last four shots on Saturday night.
Roberts with 16 points and nine rebounds and Mansfield with 15 and 11 starred.
Forwards Olivia Chugg and Ellie Collins also added 11 points and Nicholson 10 in the side’s best balanced scoresheet for the season.
Launceston had only 29 days earlier won a double overtime thriller against Frankston at Elphin Sports Centre to register its first win under Rush.
