Blues coach Sam Lonergan said stability was important for his young playing group who have achieved a commendable 3-1 start to 2017.
The Riverside-based club, which won just five matches last season, takes on Clarence at Windsor Park on Sunday.
“We know what we want to achieve and last week we probably only achieved that for about a quarter and a bit,” Lonergan said.
“We’ve got a lot to work on and we’ll go out there this week just making sure we are focusing on those things we have been for the past four weeks and try and limit those lapses we have throughout games.”
He said Clarence would provide a good challenge with ruck-forward Nathan O’Donoghue and Tassie Mariner Casey Brown returning to the fold.
“Obviously I’ve done a bit of research and know a bit about them and they’re a quality side and clearly the third best team in the comp,” Lonergan said.
“They have got a deep group of senior and experienced players so they can cause real damage. If you get six or seven of those key players in their side playing really well, they’re going to challenge the best sides.”
The Roos are undefeated after three matches and have recalled forward pocket Brayden Dart from the development league for the match, which starts at 1pm.
