The former North Launceston player has easily been in the Blues’ top 10 players in their four matches to date, but it was his 28 disposal and two-goal effort against Lauderdale on the weekend that earnt him three votes in the player of the year award.
Launceston dominated the votes with Brodie Palfreyman and forward Rulla Kelly-Mansell picking up two and one votes, respectfully.
In other State League news, Burnie captain Nick McKenna has been handed a two week suspension for rough conduct against Hobart City’s Josh Williamson..
The tribunal found that McKenna made intentional and low impact contact with a raised forearm to Williamson’s head.
