Wine Tasmania partnered with the association to recognise venues supporting the state’s wine sector.
The Tasmanian Wine List of the Year Award encourages licensed premises to feature Tasmanian wines, Wine Tasmania chief executive Sheralee Davies said.
“The latest tourism figures show that more than 262,000 visitors called in to a cellar door during their stay in Tasmania last year, [which is] 21 per cent of all visitors,” Ms Davies said.
“Not only do we have enthusiastic support from Tasmanians for our local wines, more and more people are visiting Tasmania specifically to meet our talented producers and try their wines,” she said.
Nominations for the wine list award close on May 12. For more information contact Tasmanian Hospitality Association on 6220 7300.
