Started for Tasmanian farmers in need, the fund’s coffers were exhausted after helping 238 farming families affected by drought and floods last year.
Cocktails and Conversations launches the new fundraising program at Clarendon House, Nile, with live music and Tasmanian produce.
More than $15,000 worth of donated products, services, food and beverages will kick off the night Rural Business Tasmania chief executive Elizabeth Skirving said.
“On Friday our fridge will be well-stocked with Tasmanian ciders, wines and beers from across the state,” Ms Skirving said.
“We have a night for two at Saffire Freycinet and the use of a brand new Subaru Outback for the adventure to auction, thanks to Buckby Motors.
“Support for our Cocktails and Conversations event has been amazing and reminds us of how generous Tasmanian people can be when others are struggling,” she said.
