The Magpies’ 15.15 (105) to 5.5 (35) Anzac Day win over Tigers at KGV keeps them undefeated along with North Launceston and Clarence after four rounds.
Star midfield-forward Jaye Bowden did most of the damage with a five-goal haul, while Matt Joseph (three) and Tyler Bowden (two) chipped in.
Bowden leads the league’s goalkicking charge with 20 majors to date.
Tigers trailed but 20 points at the main break but Glenorchy were way too strong – kicking nine goals to two.
Tigers had five individual goalkickers with ruckman Marcus Gardner, midfielder Lachlan Watt and defender Marcus Davies their top performers. Bowden, Mitchell Rainbird and Brayden Webb were Glenorchy’s best.
- North Launceston travel to play Devonport on Saturday and Launceston host Clarence on Sunday.
