But she also wouldn’t change it for anything.
As well as juggling a radio show, TV appearances, acting and modelling, the 37-year-old is also endlessly touring the world with her Kylie Minogue tribute show, 100% Kylie.
Now 15 years into the role, Holmes says embodying Kylie has become second nature.
“If she does a new performance I’ll watch out of interest because I’m a fan as well and I love seeing what she’s doing, but I don’t really need to prep any more,” Holmes said.
“It’s kind of like putting on a pair of old slippers, I’m so comfortable, you do your stage makeup and step on stage and the magic happens.”
Holmes said just as the show had grown to include more dancers, props, screens and costumes, so too had her talent for replicating Kylie’s onstage persona.
“One of the comments I hear most after the show when I meet people is ‘you’ve just got her down pat, right down to the way she arches an eyebrow or the hand gestures she does, or the way she walks and talks on stage’.
“The longer you do it the more you end up embodying the artist.”
100% Kylie’s Greatest Hits Tour will visit Country Club Tasmania on May 26.
