Targa tours Tasmania
Your photos from this year’s Targa Tasmania
There has been a significant shift in registrations with a growing number of competitors choosing to tour more than 1170 kilometres of the state rather than race in the iconic motorsport event.
Targa cars, muscle cars, police cars and hot rods.
That’s the list of rides which will be made available to disabled and disadvantaged children on Sunday when Kickstart takes place in Launceston.
Not sure which bends the cars will be taking? Check the stage maps for Launceston and George Town.
The chance to play the role of Targa Tasmania navigator was afforded to about 50 sponsors and special guests on Saturday as the 11th Hot Laps day took place at Symmons Plains Raceway.
The event doubled as a chance for Targa drivers to test out their cars ahead of the main event on Monday.
A street normally overrun with noisy Commodores doing the blockie route was filled with big-budget beauties on Monday night as George Street hosted Launceston’s first Targafest in five years.
