The 2006 West Coast premiership midfielder, who played 220 games for the Eagles before retiring in 2013, will also partner former AFL player manager Ricky Nixon for a sportsman’s night at the Kangaroos’ clubrooms post match. Deloraine president Shaun Donohue said the club was hoping for strong community support and that the $50 ticket price to hear the pair speak included a two-course meal.
“We have never really done anything like this before but we are confident it will be a successful day,” he said.
“We have got a pretty young group out here this year so we are hoping they will be able to tap into Daniel’s football brain and learn from the experience.
“After the match, it should be a very entertaining evening.”
