Sarah Jago’s dedication gets recognition at Young Achiever Awards

Dedication to her job has seen a Meander Valley resident’s passion rewarded.

St Patricks College’s own, Sarah Jago was presented as nominee for the University of Tasmania, Faculty of Education Teaching Excellence Award at the Tasmanian Young Achiever Awards.

Ms Jago teaches Japanese at the school and successfully led a group of students and teachers to their Japanese sister school, Omi Brotherhood.  

Premier Will Hodgman presented the nomination to Ms Jago.

He said Ms Jago was a valued team member and her students have benefited from her innovative learning programs.

The awards were held at Wrest Point Casino on April 8, more than 300 guests attended the ceremony.
