A total of 3300 musicians have descended on the city for the 2017 Australian National Band Championships, held over Easter weekend.
The 63 bands and more than 400 soloists are competing and performing at a number of events in Launceston, held at the Princess Theatre, Albert Hall, the Grand Chancellor and Launceston College.
Nearly 40 bands participated in the parade on Saturday, which went from Elizabeth Street to Charles Street and finished at the mall.
On Sunday, the competition will host a gala concert at Albert Hall, before wrapping up with a soloist competition on Monday.
