Tony Warren led off pole from Adam Garwood in his Porsche GT3 and Layton Barker’s Commodore VY.
Denis Howard in a Nissan 350z Track started the drama on lap one when he was braking in the front straight about 100m down from where yesterday’s Supercars pile up happened.
With no grip on the wet track when braking approaching the hairpin he went sideways to collect Dave Wrigley’s Mustang leading to a red flag race intervention.
Les Walkden also went off into the gravel at the end of the main sweeper but his used his 4WD Subaru to reverse out of safety run-off area.
Only a couple of laps were after the delayed re-start with 18-year-old Launceston driver Adam Garwood taking the win in his Porsche GT3 from Warren’s Mitsubishi Evo with Greg Garwood claiming third place in his Ford Capri Perana V8.
Garwood senior surviving and finishing the race despite collecting the wall on the way down the front straight after the re-start.
In what has to be the very worst weather conditions the Aussie Racing Cars have ever raced in Western Sydney Motorsports Blake Sciberras won the morning’s reverse grid race 3 after James Duckworth, who lead for most of the race over shot the final turn.
In a shortened race 4 after lunch which was reduced to five laps, Jaie Robson claimed his third victory in the category for the Symmons Plains weekend and his third Australian Racing Cars career win.
Robson had a classic duel with Blake Scibberras for race lead throughout the race.
Sciberras pressed hard and was throwing his car around in the treacherous conditions compared to the more stable Robson car which seemed to handle the wet track much better.
Robson holding off Sciberras for the race victory with Kel Tressler finishing third.
Paul Dumbrell claimed the round victory in the Super2 series after a thrilling final race saw him, Jack Le Brocq and Todd Hazlewood brawling for the lead over the final laps of a shortened race started under safety car control.
Le Brocq made Super2 history after giving Nissan their first race win beating home Dumbrell and Hazlewood.
Dumbrell finished the Symmons round on 279 points from Hazlewood on 277 and Le Brocq on 268.
Dumbrell continues to lead the Super2 championship on 571 points, with Hazlewood on 561 and Le Brocq on 526.
