Thomas is the state team captain and is joined by Fiddian, Caleb Webster of Devonport, Brady Ludby from Strahan, Royal Hobart’s Joey Bower and Tim Smith from Tasmania Golf Club.
Travelling with the team are development squad members Jack Blair of Deloraine and Daniel North from Elderslie. The junior singles are at Wollongong Golf Club over 72 holes while the interstate team matches are at Port Kembla Golf Club from Monday through to Thursday. Team manager is Mark Schulze and coach is Bryce Gorham.
PENNANT UPDATE
In the Northern women’s pennant division 1, Launceston A leads following its win over Launceston B last week with Prospect Vale in second and two wins, followed by Riverside, Mowbray and Launceston B with one win apiece.
Greens Beach and Riverside have two wins each in division 2, and in division 3, Exeter and Mowbray head the table with three wins.
In East Coast women’s pennant, Scamander River defeated the combined Freycinet-Swansea team and St Helens travelled to Bicheno and won 3.5 to 1.5.
In round two of Men’s East Coast Pennant, St Helens won 4/3 at Bicheno courtesy of a win at the 20th by Justin Green over Lynden Wright.
Northern men’s pennant continues on Sunday, and in division 1, the undefeated Mowbray plays Launceston at Kings Meadows.
In division 2, George Town is at home to Launceston while nearest rival Greens Beach travels to Prospect Vale. In division 3, the leaders Launceston and Deloraine clash at Kings Meadows.

Touring professional Simon Hawkes has won another pro-am at the Flinders Golf Club in Victoria where he shot a six-under par 63, adding to wins at Heidelberg and Port Arlington in February, at Tasmania Golf Club and in the pro-ams at Mowbray and Ulverstone.
Golf Tasmania sent Georgia Milbourne and Lily Caelli to the Bowra O’Dea classic at Lake Karrinyup last week.
Milbourne finished 20th with 76,82,81,84 and Caelli 30th with 91,89,89,91.
