Market organiser Curly Haslam-Coates said having Mr Passard at the market was amazing.
“He’s really loving the market, we’re really lucky that Tassie has such fresh produce,” she said.
“He’s already got some tomatoes from Tasmanian Natural Garlic and Tomatoes, so there is a lot of produce that he has already organised, so today is just really about extra bits and pieces.
“He actually has his own source of vegetables, he has six hectares in France that he sources from. So he like it because it is all grown locally and they have their own characteristics.”
She said Mr Passard hadn’t been to Australia before and was only really visiting Tasmania.
Mr Passard will cook for the public on Saturday night at TasTAFE Drysdale on Saturday night.
